Galesburg City Township is one of twenty-one townships in Knox County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 33,706.[1] It is coextensive with the city of Galesburg, which is almost entirely surrounded by Galesburg Township.[2]
In the 2001 fiscal year, the township employed eighteen individuals and operated with expenditures of $849,752.[3]
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Galesburg City Township covers an area of 17.07 square miles (44.2 km2); of this, 16.9 square miles (44 km2) (98.96 percent) is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 km2) (1.04 percent) is water.
